France’s Hermes Q2 momentum lifts H1 sales to $9.2 bn; outlook firm

Hermes has reported strong H1 2025 results with revenue of $9.20 billion and operating income of $3.79 billion, up 8 per cent and 6 per cent respectively. Net profit (adjusted) rose to $2.87 billion. Q2 sales hit $4.48 billion, up 9 per cent. All regions grew, led by Japan and the Americas. The group reaffirmed its growth outlook, anchored in craftsmanship and loyal clientele.

Miu Miu tops Lyst Index Q2 2025 as world’s hottest brand

Miu Miu reclaimed the top spot in the Lyst Index for Q2 2025, driven by its suede logo loafers. The Row’s $690 Dune sandal became the hottest product, aided by viral buzz. Footwear dominated, with Adidas, Vibram, and Isabel Marant styles trending. Burberry, Chloe, and COS gained momentum, while Pucci surged outside the Top 20 with euro-core appeal.

Italy’s Ferragamo posts $66.1 mn H1 loss, revenues drop 9.4%

Salvatore Ferragamo has reported revenue of €474 million (~$549.84 million) in H1 2025, down 9.4 per cent YoY, with a net loss of €57 million (~$66.12 million) due to weak Asia Pacific demand. Wholesale sales dropped 17.9 per cent, DTC fell 6.5 per cent, and EBITDA declined 38.1 per cent. Q2 revenue plunged 14.6 per cent, though Latin America showed growth. Strategic repositioning efforts are underway.

US’ Steven Madden sees H1, Q2 revenue climb, net income turns negative

Steven Madden, Ltd has reported revenue of $1.11 billion in H1 FY25, up 3.4 per cent YoY, but net income dropped to $946,000 due to higher expenses. Q2 revenue rose 6.8 per cent to $559 million. Wholesale declined, while DTC surged. Tariffs impacted performance, prompting the company to withhold 2025 guidance despite confidence in long-term growth and the Kurt Geiger integration.

Argentina’s coat imports soar to 26% of its total apparel trade

Argentina’s coat imports surged nearly fourfold to 26.14 per cent of its garment import basket in January–May 2025, topping all categories with $69.436 million in value. This marks a sharp rise from just 6.73 per cent in 2022. Total apparel imports hit $265.650 million in the five-month period, with notable growth across most categories. Overall apparel imports jumped 86.61 per cent year-on-year.

US’ Gildan’s H1 2025 revenue rises 4.6%, activewear drives growth

Gildan has reported strong H1 2025 results with net sales up 4.6 per cent to $1.63 billion, driven by 10.6 per cent growth in activewear. Q2 net sales hit $919 million, led by new product innovations. Adjusted EPS rose to $1.56. For FY25, Gildan expects mid-single-digit revenue growth, adjusted EPS of $3.40–$3.56, and free cash flow above $450 million, reaffirming its sustainable growth strategy.

Multiply acquires 67.9% of Spain’s Tendam, doubles EBITDA post-deal

Multiply Group (ADX: MULTIPLY) has acquired a 67.91 per cent stake in Spain's Tendam, marking its first major European investment and entry into retail and apparel. The deal doubles Multiply’s operational EBITDA and aims to drive Tendam’s global growth using AI, digital tools, and targeted M&A, with Tendam reporting ~$1.60 billion in sales and ~$388 million in EBITDA.

Cambodia sees opening of 116 new garment units in H1 2025; Total 1,682

Cambodia’s manufacturing sector saw major growth in H1 2025, with a notable rise in both garment and non-garment units.The first half saw 116 new garment units opening, bringing the total to 1,682—a rise from 1,566 at 2024 end.The country exported garments, footwear and travel products worth $7.38 billion in the period—up by 22 per cent YoY.Garments accounted for $5,283 million—up by 22 per cent YoY.

China’s apparel exports to Russia dip 2.21% to $1.19 bn in Jan-May

China’s apparel exports to Russia declined by 2.21 per cent year-on-year to $1.191 billion during January–May 2025, making Russia the twelfth-largest export destination. In 2024, exports totalled $3.47 billion, accounting for 2.26 per cent of China’s total. Despite year-on-year volume drops, Russia’s market rank has improved significantly since 2022.

Turkiye's apparel exports fall 6.91% to $7.9 bn in Jan-June 2025

Turkiye’s apparel exports fell 6.91 per cent YoY to $7.94 bn in Jan–Jun 2025, with June alone down 8.94 per cent. Knitted and non-knitted apparel declined 4.5 per cent and 10 per cent, respectively. Imports of cotton textiles (HS 52) rose 2.6 per cent in H1 2025. Full-year 2024 apparel exports slipped 4.47 per cent, continuing the downtrend from 2023 and 2022.

India’s PDS Ltd reports strong GMV growth, EBITDA down 31% in Q1 FY26

India’s PDS Limited has reported a 14 per cent YoY rise in Q1 FY26 revenue to ₹2,999 crore (~$329.89 million), with GMV up 19 per cent QoQ. Despite growth, EBITDA fell 31 per cent and PAT declined 36 per cent. The company remains focused on operational efficiency and long-term growth, supported by an asset-light model, strategic restructuring, and promising cost optimisation measures.
